Coming from one of Australia’s most celebrated estates, the Giaconda Estate Vineyard Nebbiolo 2022 is full of power and grace.
High-altitude granitic soils, excellent winemaking, and ageing in a granite cave deliver wines of extraordinary purity, complexity, and finesse. Red wines see extended maceration on skins to develop finer tannins, with maturation taking place in French Oak barrels for up to 24 months. The wines are only ever moved via gravity or gas, retaining all the pristine fruit that they work so hard to produce in the winery and the vineyard. Matured in Amphorae and old oak, the Nebbiolo has bright tannins that enhance its pure fruit flavors. Expect notes of roasted chestnuts, rose petals, forest floor, dark orange chocolate, and tar.
